Silver Lake College announced that Danielle Byrum of Sheboygan Lutheran High School and Daisneekqua Thompson of Milwaukee Juneau/Morse/Marshall High School signed letters of intent to attend SLC and play for the women’s basketball team.

Music for Tots, Silver Lake Children’s Choir Under Umbrella of Holy Family Conservatory of Music

Silver Lake College announced that the Music for Tots program and Silver Lake Children’s Choir are now under the umbrella of the Holy Family Conservatory of Music, which is housed at the new Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance, located on campus at 2406 S. Alverno Road.

Carol Storck has been selected to coordinate the Music for Tots program and serve as the Artistic Director for the Silver Lake Children's Choir.

Silver Lake College’s BSN Completion Program Achieves Continuing Accreditation

Silver Lake College’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Completion Program has achieved continuing accreditation for 10 years by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Association (CCNE).

The CCNE is an autonomous accrediting agency contributing to the improvement of the public’s health. Silver Lake College’s BSN Completion Program underwent an extensive self-assessment and on-site survey by CCNE expert surveyors in October 2013.

Swanson joining Silver Lake College; other personnel moves announced

Silver Lake College announced the appointment of personnel who’ll be overseeing the campus’ three new schools, which take effect beginning with the 2014-15 academic year.

Mark Swanson has accepted the position of Assistant Dean for the School of Education. He most recently served as the Reedsville School District superintendent, and prior to that served as the Manitowoc Public School District superintendent.
