SLC to have access to bus service starting Jan. 3

MANITOWOC, Wis. — Silver Lake College will be a stop on the Maritime Metro Transit route as of Jan. 3.

Sister Michaela Melko named professor emeritus

MANITOWOC, Wis. — Sister Michaela Melko was named professor emeritus during Silver Lake College’s Winter Commencement Ceremony on Dec. 17. The honor is given to retired faculty members who have made substantial contributions to Silver Lake College and to their professions. The status allows Sister Melko to retain all the rights of a faculty member.

SLC presents piano recital on Dec. 9

MANITOWOC, Wis. — Silver Lake College will present a piano recital featuring students from the studios of Dr. Diana Shapiro and Dr. Stanislava Varshavski. The recital will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, in the college’s Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance, 2406 S. Alverno Road. It is free and open to the public.
