Silver Lake College will host life drawing sessions on Feb. 20 and March 5 from 8:30 a.m. until noon in Room 107, located in the main building on campus, 2406 S. Alverno Road. Artists of all skills levels are welcome.
Leading the sessions will be David Carpenter, who received his bachelor of arts degree in fine art with a concentration in painting and drawing from the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, Ind. He graduated with a master of fine arts from the New York Academy of Art in New York City and currently serves as a guest lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Carpenter will be available to participants for instruction. The sessions, which cost $15 each, are open to the public. No pre-registration is necessary. Participants should bring their own drawing supplies or purchase some at the sessions. Nude models will be present.
