MANITOWOC, Wis. -- Silver Lake College will host the Lakeshore Health Care Alliance’s fall educational event, “Health Care and the Health Care Workforce: Current Realities, Future Possibilities.”
It will take place from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1 in the Franciscan Center for Music Education and performance on campus, 2406 S. Alverno Road, Manitowoc. The deadline to register is Oct. 15.
The event, which is free and open to the public, is ideal for high school students, parents, counselors, teachers, principals, chamber of commerce members and members of health care organizations.

Ann Zenk, vice president of workforce and clinical practice for the Wisconsin Hospital Association of Madison, will be guest speaker. She will talk about recent labor market data and the job outlook for health care occupations.
A panel will share information on what the LSHCA is doing in response to those job market needs. The panel will include an LSHCA representative, an admissions counselor, and recent students or graduates in health care occupations.
“We are proud to have one of our current four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing students, Tyler Heyduk, share his journey to professional nursing,” said Brianna Neuser, director of nursing and allied health leadership at Silver Lake College.
The purpose of the LSHCA is to strengthen the health care workforce in Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties.
