The Lady Lakers improved their record to 7-5 with an impressive win over Andrews University 75 to 10. After Andrews scoring the first two points of the game the Lady Lakers swarming defensive gave up only 2 more points for the rest of the half giving the Lady Lakers a 37 to 4 lead. It could be seen that the Andrews guards were struggling with the half court pressure so the Lady Lakers extended their press and caused Andrews to turn the ball over 20 times in the first half. We were extremely proud of the energy and the defensive pressure that our players played the entire game. The Lady Lakers had 30 steals for the game which resulted in many offensive layups which locked up the victory in the second half.
Five player scored double figures for the game. Leading the Lady Lakers was Kaela Cheesmen form Rolla Missouri with scored 18 point including 4 three point conversions. Courtney Clavers scored 16 point. Shanice Wilson had eleven points with four steals and 3 assists. Raelyn Woock and Lyndsay Hoschbach added 10. Amanda Kudick had 6 steals and 3 assists.
Next game for the Lady Lakers will on the road against NCAA DIV III Mount Mary Angles of Milwaukee, Tuesday night at 6:00 pm.
