MANITOWOC, Wis. — Silver Lake College of the Holy Family is kicking off its annual President’s CEO Breakfast Series on Nov. 14. The series will feature four speakers who share the College’s commitment to investing in the betterment of Manitowoc County and neighboring communities.
The series will begin on Nov. 14 with guest speaker Steve Proudman, president of the Proudman Group, Inc. and senior consultant with White Men as Full Diversity Partners LLC. He will speak about “Exploring the Mindset of the Inclusive Leader.”
Bank First of Manitowoc, which prides itself as being a community-focused organization, is the major sponsor of the President’s CEO Breakfast Series.
Silver Lake College of the Holy Family strives to develop and promote a community of lifelong learners and to provide educational opportunities for professional preparation. The President’s CEO Breakfast Series was started in 2015 as a way to bring together community and business leaders for opportunities to learn and share knowledge.
In addition to gaining valuable insight from prestigious presenters, the CEO Breakfast Series is a way to network with colleagues in Northeast Wisconsin and provide professional development for local leaders and their staff members.
Attendees, who come from Manitowoc, Brown, Calumet, Fond du Lac and Outagamie counties, cover a wide range of experiences allowing for a unique networking opportunity.
Additional speakers included in the lineup this academic year is as follows: Craig S. Dickman, managing director of Titletown Tech, and founder and chairman of Breakthrough Fuel; Betsy J. Wernli, president of Forefront Dermatology; and Brett W. Norell, president and CEO of Holy Family Memorial.
Local business leaders cover a wide array of industries that include construction, health care, legal services, non-profit organizations, financial institutions, higher education and manufacturing.
Past speakers have included Mark Murphy, president and CEO of the Green Bay Packers; Dave Wage, owner and CEO of The HFM Family of Companies; Renee Hytry Derrington, group vice president of design for Fletcher Building Laminates and Panels Group; and Dan Ariens, chairman and CEO of the Ariens Co.
Check-in is at 7 a.m. The breakfast buffet opens at 7:15 a.m. The program concludes at 8:30 a.m. Tickets are $100 for the series of four programs or $30 each per person. For tickets, visit sl.edu/tickets.
The program also offers opportunities to provide leadership development for those in the early years of their careers, who often have tight budgets or work for not-for-profit organizations. The cost is just $95 to sponsor a young professional and includes all four sessions. Silver Lake College of the Holy Family will collaborate with local businesses and not-for-profits to select these recipients. Sponsors will have a chance to personally meet the young professionals they have sponsored and the sponsoring individuals or businesses will be recognized on the event program and in slides shown during registration.
