MANITOWOC, Wis. — Silver Lake College will present the senor violin recital of Jeffrey Erdman at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5 in the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance on campus, 2406 S. Alverno Road.

He will be accompanied on piano by Dr. Diana Shapiro, assistant professor of music and undergraduate music department chair. Erdman is a student of the violin studio of Monica Hrudik, adjunct faculty member.

The recital is free and open to the public.

Erdman will perform pieces by composers Antonio Vivaldi, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Jean-Baptiste Accolay and Fritz Kreisler.

A 2013 Lincoln High School graduate, Erdman had been playing violin for 13 years. He is currently studying choral, general and instrumental music education and will enter his student teaching semester in spring. Erdman enjoys playing violin in the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra.

Erdman hopes to open his own vocal or violin studio, and to teach elementary or high school music after college. He would like to continue studies in education and performance at the graduate level.
