MANITOWOC, Wis. — Dr. Danielle McKeithen, assistant professor of biology at Silver Lake College of the Holy Family, was instrumental in obtaining a grant for the biology and natural science department from the FORWARD Endowment.

FORWARD stands for Friends of Resources Wildlife and Recreational Development, a trust designed to enhance and promote respect and appreciation for our environment.  The trust supports activities, projects and endeavors which promote conservation and protect natural resources, including fish and game in Manitowoc County.

The grant will be used to implement Project WILD during the fall Biology 180 Environmental Science Education Workshop for education majors. Project WILD is a wildlife-focused conservation education program for K-12 educators and their students.
