MANITOWOC, Wis. — The Silver Lake College department of music will present the piano recital of senior Emily Cattani at 7 p.m. on April 27 in the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance on campus, 2406 A. S. Alverno Road.

“Emily is presenting the recital to culminate her Bachelor of Arts in music studies. The program includes a variety of original piano pieces from the Baroque period through the 19th century,” said Dr. Diana Shapiro, assistant professor of piano and undergraduate music department chair.

The program will feature works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Frederic Chopin and Ludwig Van Beethoven, among others.

Cattani is pursuing a degree in music with an emphasis in piano. She has participated in opera workshop, both of the choral ensembles at Silver Lake College, chorale and concert choir, and has been a featured vocalist and pianist in the Silver Lake Jazz Ensemble.

After graduation, Cattani plans to build her own private piano studio and pursue her education at a graduate level studying music therapy. She is a 2012 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School.
