MANITOWOC, Wis. — Silver Lake College of the Holy Family honored graduating students during its first nursing pinning ceremony on Friday, May 4.
Nursing class of 2018 students receiving pins were: Lindsey Brennan, Jennifer Garceau, Devin Kosarzycki, Der Lee, Megan O’Shea, Ashley Pfund and Erin Wachtendonk.
Brianna Neuser, director of nursing, presented the welcome and introduction, as well as the closing remarks.
Melissa Hamachek, instructor of nursing, was faculty speaker. Judith Pomeroy, assistant professor of nursing, explained the symbolism of the nursing pin. Father Dave Beaudry, chaplain, presented the blessing of the pins.
Neuser, Hamachek, Pomeroy and Dr. Cheryl Passel, associate professor of nursing, presented the pins. Passel also led the Florence Nightingale lamp ceremony and pledge.
