SLC student art exhibit opens on April 2

MANITOWOC, Wis. — Silver Lake College will present the senior art exhibit, “Sekainosozo: Creation of Worlds,” from April 2 through May 13 in the Donald P. Taylor Gallery on campus, 2406 S. Alverno Road.

The exhibit, which features the works of student artists Sarah Presley and Miranda Chase, is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. A reception for the artists will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on April 13. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

SLC student offers art enrichment to kids

MANITOWOC, Wis. — As Megan Baradic puts the finishing touches on the next art project, Jefferson Elementary School children begin filing into her room for “Art with Megan.”

Miss Megan, as they call her, teaches an art enrichment class at the Jefferson Community Learning Center, a free before- and after-school program at the Manitowoc school. The afternoon portion of the program is a perfect fit for Megan, a junior majoring in art education at Silver Lake College.

SLC opens photography exhibit on Feb. 26

MANITOWOC — Silver Lake College will open an exhibit of photography, “ach•ro•mat•ic: The Absence of Color” by award-winning photographer Ché Correa of Neenah on Feb. 26.

The exhibit will be shown in the Donald P. Taylor Gallery through March 23. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
